Join us on Thursday, September 10th from 5:30-7:30pm at our space at 2949 W Armitage Ave, Chicago, IL 60647 for a natural mending workshop.
During the workshop, our designer Jacob Victorine will run participants through the basics of mending with natural materials, including running, whip, and sashiko-inspired stitching techniques and how to sew on a button. No prior sewing experience is required.
We encourage you to bring a woven, 100% cotton item, such as a button-up shirt or pair of pants, that you'd like to mend.
The $15 ticket includes natural thread and organic cotton scraps from our production runs. Please bring your own sewing needles.
The $45 ticket includes our custom mending kit, natural thread, and organic cotton scraps from our production runs.
The custom mending kit includes:
- Two steel sashiko needles made in Japan
- Adjustable brass thimble made in Japan
- Tex 400 cotton sashiko thread made in Japan
- Organic cotton mending pouch for storing materials
