    For the holidays, we've teamed up with artist and builder Kumiko Murakami on a series of four limited edition laser cut wood snowflake ornaments. Each ornament is based on a handmade paper snowflake designed by Murakami. She then laser cuts the ornaments from scrap maple, walnut, cherry, or oak wood and sands them down by hand. Finally, our designer hand dyes each ornament in a naturally fermented fructose indigo vat seven times for a beautifully dark blue finish.

    Dyed naturally in-house with plant-derived indigo. Naturally dyed items will show color and tonal variations, which are innate effects of the dye process. Some dyed items may transfer color during use, in particular onto light colored fabrics and/or surfaces.

    Store naturally dyed items away from direct sunlight. Long term exposure to UV can darken and/or lighten a color, depending on the dye used.

    Packaging
    Packaged and shipped in a 100% recycled, biodegradable mailer that is curbside recyclable and industrially compostable (check with your local industrial composter).


    Care
    - For undyed items, expect approximately 5% shrinkage, mainly in length
    - Wash cold using a natural, pH neutral detergent
    - Hang dry

    We intentionally construct our products with materials, such as organic cotton, that will biodegrade over time. Cotton thread, in particular, is not as strong as thread made from synthetic fibers, so repairs are a natural part of the garment’s lifecycle.
